Clearing Local DNS Cache in Windows

August 30th, 2004

I was having some trouble reaching a host (whose IP I had just changed) because Windows was caching the resolution of the name.  One little call to ipconfig fixed it:
ipconfig /flushdns

Hope this is not too late to help!
    Meni try this:

    START>Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Services.

Under “DNS Client” make sure “Status” is on “STARTED” and “Startup type” is on “MANUAL”

    This should solve it!

Try this: go to Start-Control Panel-Administrative Tools- Services-DNS Client. Check if it is enabled, set to manual.Should solve your problem.
